Description

The poem MASKS by Shel Silverstein reflects the way people get along with each other in today's society. They are not good at expressing their emotions—they wear a heavy mask to protect themselves when facing the world and gradually become a person without warmth. Is this an ideal relationship?

To hide one's true self is to put on a mask; the one you love may be wearing one. Are you ready to see through the masks that people wear, and truly love them for who they are?
